On Friday I met my old roomie, Manda at Metrolina Expo. I don't think I have ever been in February before, and ya'll...it was freezing!! But still so much fun. It's probably one of my favorite ways to spend a day. Here are some of the fun things I saw there that I so wish I could have taken home with me...
These are what I actually did bring home...
I went in pursuit of a small bookcase and I actually found one!! It's perfect:) I also managed not to go home with anymore books - which is good cause there's not much room left on my new bookcase.
I found the tiniest tole tray. I had to get it. And when I got home - it fit perfectly on my gallery wall, which is still in progress!
And then I also got this awesome Melodica. I was so very excited. But, yesterday as I was getting dress to go to church and I heard a big crash. A shelf in the music room had fallen off the wall:( The shelf was holding my guitar straps, an espresso mug full of picks, a photo, a little piece of art, and my new melodica. It crashed onto my guitar stand which was holding my electric and my mandolin. I panicked. I was sure the espresso mug would be shattered and the guitar busted or scratched all up. Picks were everywhere but the mug and guitars looked okay. But as I was picking up the picks I got to one and realized it wasn't a pick - too big, weird shape, and sharp. Uh-Oh! My brand-new-to-me melodica!! I let out a pretty loud and whinny "Oh NO!!!" as I picked it up and realized it had broken. I'm still not sure if it's fixable or not but man, it made me so very sad. I had only had it a few days. Oh well, I know it's just stuff but I would have liked to have spent a few more days with it:( At least I didn't spend a lot on it.

so sorry about the Melodica :( when I'm out & about at antique shops & such I'll keep an eye open for one. can you glue yours back together just for display purposes?
